I love jumping into information that excites me whether it is a book, an article or watching a video. I spent most of 2015 listening to podcasts from highly motivated people, making mental notes of personal changes I needed to make and practicing self-care to improve my day-to-day life. I practiced mediation and yoga. I wrote on my walls at home (in chalk, of course) of all the things I wanted for myself. When we set goals for ourselves, sometimes we achieve aspects of that goal and at times, we fail.
Over 2015, I had taught my first round of yoga classes, decreased my anxiety and practiced self-love (if you're not practicing self-love, you should start right NOW). As the year went on, somehow I lost momentum.
Today, I read a quote that reigned true for me. It was a reflection of my lost momentum - ducking away from success, hiding behind my professional career and not surprisingly, the fear of failure. As I start the new venture with oasiszen, i'm going all-in while keeping true to myself. I will put my best person forward and in order to do that, I will continue to practice self-love.
