Body Awakening - A Healing Process

Ok, so I'm start off my saying that this blog post is a continuation of last week which can be found by clicking HERE!
I was so excited to share with you how to breathe your way to healing that I forgot to start at the basics so let's take a couple steps back....
Yoga teaches us to feel inside our body. Many people (myself included, years ago) don't feel, we just move. We move through our life without truly being present to what's happening inside.
Yoga is a journey within. Movement is mindful, sequencing is mindful, speech is mindful and these aspects allow students during their practice to feel inside. That may mean we feel pain, anger, sadness, fear or even nausea when we truly connect during yoga. Each part of our body can hold something different. When I taught the break work in the last blog, it was to go that one step deeper. The first step is feeling the feels and recognizing, the second step is to breath into it. I want you to heal the area where your practice has brought awareness.
So, next time you're in class and you're feeling all the feels, deepen your breath and let that shit go.
